According to reports from a web edition of Nikkei, Nintendo is currently working with publishers to produce numerous revivals of older game franchises, to help strengthen the 3DS' game library. One such example given was the strange but classic pet sim "Seaman", which you may remember from the Sega Dreamcast. The Dreamcast game was was one of the few games on that system to use the microphone attachment (3DS of course has a mic built in). At this time, it is unknown if this revival will mean it's an entirely new game, or a port or remake of the original. All we know is that it is being mentioned as one of several classic franchises that will be revived on the Nintendo 3DS. The creator of Seaman had mentioned in 2010 that the series might indeed see a release on the 3DS.
