HDD's don't even have that storage capacity yet. I'd love to get me a memory card that does

But when a new itty bitty card is announced with a ridiculous 2TB (2 terabyte!) maximum capacity (theoretical),

The PSP's pro duo format has a 32 gb max capacity (theoretical), right now it's at 16 gb max available to consumers. It's highly possible that we'll be seeing at least a 1tb card within the next year or two.

Well, they plan to release the first batch of their SDXC before march, with a wopping 104MBps, but the actual storage is still unkown.

I guess you'll need to buy a new reader to these cards right? Or a device capable of reading SDHC would do the job?

I know they won't make 2TB cards soon, but I really hope they make at least 100GB cards this year.
LOL, at least...
It's would pretty awesome though, but still i cannot believe it...

@m3rox: Then again, there is a huge difference between 32GB and 2TB!

This is indeed amazing. Though I hope that you won't need to buy a special card reader for this.

and I think the release capacity will be 32GB, definitely not 2 TB (Most external HDs don't even hold this much).

2TB huh, might do to make a RAID/cluster. With the speeds that will presumably come along with it I would consider junking my main drive in favour of one of these.

By the time they reach 2 TB (and become affordable) we'll probably all have 300 TB Hard Drives and games will be on Disks that hold 1 TB.

DS would probably be long dead, too.

Wtf. Image having one of these for your DS... you could probably fit every DS game EVER in it.

Well being as all of the DS games are less then 100 gigs, I would assume so.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
