I'm not sure 4GB is enough of an upgrade, though. I've currently got 3 1GB cards, and it's MOSTLY enough. Sure, I'd like more room, but you have to pay for it.
As for the R4 update, I'll be impressed if they pull it off. Even if they don't, though, it's not a ripoff, and they're not pulling a fast one. SDHC was never promised for the R4 upon purchase, and if they manage to add it with a FREE firmware update, then we should be thanking them profusely. Even if they don't, at least they're trying.
I haven't looked at how SDHC differs technically from normal SD, I need to get some specs and see if they can support it through a simple firmware update. I did a cursory search yesterday and didn't come up with much.
