Hacking SD-Card Wii Backups

Is it possible to rip and burn a Wii game without having access to the internet or to one of those special DVD drives that can read Wii discs? I heard about a homebrew program that can backup a Wii disc through the gamecube memory card slot and then recompile it on your computer and burn it using any DVD burner. Is this program available to use with OpenWii or only WiiKey?

Wiikey config disc 1.2 can do this and you can even split the file if you have a small sd card. I think it works on other chips as its just a gamecube homebrew disc. Im not sure tho, check it out!

realize though that this doesn't use the built in Wii SD card, but rather a Gecko SD card adapter that you plug into the GC memory card port.
