If you can't format the card, try using GUIformat for windows, and again use fat32 with 32 kb cluster size. If that fails, your SD card is corrupt beyond repair and has put itself into read only mode. If that ends up being the case, back up everything on the card and move it to a new card.

Problem solved. Reformatting the SD Card worked but I was presented with a dilemma... Everything was still missing. Actually no that is false only the tickets were missing so I ran Faketik and got bombarded with presents on the home screen... Thanks for all your help guys I really appreciate it.

it was a thing requiring a sd card format to get it working. Then faketik to restore the files oncd sd was good

One more thing. I also tried CTRTransfer to no avail.

I'm still wondering what happened here. I expect this step was necessary to fix the ticket database.
