My district starts school on the 27th I think.
I spent my summer imaging 900+ computers, replacing our dns, dhcp, primary webserver, email, business management, student management, and high school student file servers with new servers, and writing 5 new web-apps.
I'm not looking forward to the start of the school year though. Once the middle school and high school students get their laptops, the internet bandwidth will skyrocket.
And then a week or two after is the first Short Cycle Assessment exam, some stupid online exam the student have to take 5 times a year. And there's always problems (99% of them caused by the students, 75% or so caused intentionally to get out of taking the test). This year though, I've made some changes to the computers that should help prevent anymore retarded problems.
So right now is the calm before the storm. All of my summer work is done, and all that's left is to introduce the new apps to the teachers during their training next week.
