My supercard does not read any game, nor those who come by default ... I use it with my GBA.

Hello, thank you very much for your efforts, this project looks great! Since you are able to patch roms on the fly wouldn't it be possible to use those functions in a computer application to perform the patching offline, thus replacing the awful "original" supercard software? I would be interested in implementing such application myself, perhaps in python or C++. I am asking because, if the PC patches weren't as obnoxious as the current supercard software, patching "offline" would cut considerable time from loading roms.

I'm curious.
I have 2x GBA's. A SP and a GBA (Model AGB-001).

On stock FW, the games would list on the SP, but not the normal GBA.

I have now loaded the SCFW 0.5.2 onto my Super Card.

On my GBA SP it loads, no problem. Play's games as expected.

On the GBA I have (Model AGB-001) it picks up the card and gives the messages:
"SCFW Kernel v 0.5.2 GBA-mode

Overclocked EWRAM
FAT system initialised
Loading settings...
Reading settings
Settings loaded!"

And that's that?

Can't browse games, select anything to play, etc?

New batteries tested with a voltage meter in the GBA, but I can't get it to work?

After a few restarts I got it to go to the
"fat:/" screen. But as soon as I try to open a folder, it just freezes?

Card formatted as FAT with Rufus

I'm getting the same on my GBA. Works perfect on the GBA SP though

All GBA models should have the same behavior with SuperCard SDs, but weirdly not all SuperCard SD's have 100% the same behavior (I.E - Either it can ignore the increase ROM speed or not. That's where the external patching comes in to introduce consistency between all SuperCard SD's).

If on stock firmware you're not able to view the menu, it sounds like a missing contact or there is no contact with all of the necessary cartridge pins. Please ensure that your edge connectors are clean before plugging in the flashcard/flashcart into your GBA. Use a thick enough piece of paper and spray some contact cleaner on it then use it to rub on the contacts in order to remove the dirt. (A cotton swab / cotton buds / Q tips can also do the job but you risk bending the edge connectors with it).

This question has already been answered on post#371

Please follow the instructions indicated to disable the increase ROM speed feature.

Strange thing is I read on Reddit that there are a few people experiencing issues with the original GBA.
I have acquired another GBA (Not the SP) and both of these are misbehaving in the same manner...
I think I'd probably be better off buying a better flash cart?

Hm... You can always call it quits and buy another flash cart for a hefty price. There are not many options out there mind you(Budget for a GBA flash cart, factor in shipping costs, availability of the item, support for the product within your region, return / warranty policies for items bought abroad, etc...). At the end of the day, it's always the consumer who decides what he/she will buy.

You mentioned that you read reddit posts. Have you read the post on reddit about fixing the odd behaviors? I mentioned something similar prior to your comment and you still haven't provided feedback on that.

Also, don't you find it odd that it works on an SP, but not on your OG GBA? I have an AGB-001 myself and I didn't experience that problem you mentioned where games aren't listed.

If you're already having problems with stock fw, you'll experience odd behavior even with custom firmware.

thanks for answering, but i already fixed the problem by using kernel from davidgf(superFW), it make my supercard has ui and make separate folder for the save file, the only problem only i can't save pokemon games(emerald, firered, saphire, and idk if there's more), and still can't play advance wars 2, but advance wars 1 is work perfectly. almost forgot, tekken advance has slowdown issues too.

That's a different kernel/firmware project for the SuperCard SD. If you're looking for support on SuperFW, you should ask in the right thread.

Managed to get it working.
Removed the expensive Samsung micro sd card. Inserted the Ali Express 2gb card...

Good thing you got it to work :)

Memory cards can be a bit finicky(sensitive) at times.

This is weird, but Donkey Kong Country saves on the SCFW, but if you turn the console off, and don't use it for sometime afterwards, the save deletes itself. Is there any way to fix this?

I think you need to change the battery on the cartridge. It has a volatile SRAM memory.

With some help from edo9300 I finally fixed SCKill so it can flash all of SCLite's flash chip:

https://github.com/ApacheThunder/SCKILL/releases/tag/1.1

Can now utilize almost all the chip. The last 2 blocks (around 16KB) seems to be read only though and looks like FPGA locks access to that. Can't change/erase it. Not even the official recovery tool seems able to alter that area. But thats just around 496KB of usuable space. Much better then 256KB where I was limited before. :D
