Gaming Saving GBA games on SC

When I am saving GBA games on SC what the diffrence between Normal Saver and RealTime Saver?

As was written in the SuperCard website's FAQ, among other places, the Normal Saver is just like the real saves, whereas Realtime Saver is just like an emulator's save state, where you can really save anywhere, anytime.

I thought you could only use realtime saves with gba games.... where have I been lol!!
