I was thinking... and I want to know, how do you "capture" a download play demo in form of a rom?

I'm sure it uses a packet sniffing software to read the data transfered to DS.
software like Etheral, and it must be in promiscuous mode to capture data not send for his own network address.

Then read the packet and reconstruct the rom.

Or, there might be hardware involved connected to DS to dump the memory (not sure if/how it's working)

    OR the best way :
The download play (from kiosk demo) are real game card, connected to a real DS hardware sending data to other DS.
just open the kiosk demo box and dump the card.

I'm thinking, there are DS dump missing, like "Mario kart download play data" sent to someone without an original game card
and all other download play from single cart games multi-player.

There were packs of demos on roms where you put it on you're flashcard and
transfer the various demos on the rom to another person. There's a particular site
but im not sure if im allowed to mention it... but I will anyways.

www.ds-scene.net (Doesn't host any commercial roms besides demo rom packs and homebrew)

we have the ds firmware dumped, so I don't see any problems in compiling the code into a game and then saving it to our sd card, or using a pc to rip all the data
