I got angry with FFIV and decided to patch it with ISOTOOL. Used the right patch and everything using a nice, helpful .gif. Game boots fine. The entire cut scene at the very beginning of the game works flawlessly (it didn't freeze!), but now my save data is considered no good. I assume this is because I patched the game, so the game and the save no longer technically match and the data is read as corrupt. It shows up fine in the XMB, the game just complains about it being corrupted when I press X to go to the Load Data screen.

PSP 1000 series running 5.50 Prome-4.

Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: Okay, I've tried simple things to no avail (create new data after moving the old off, swap in the old to overwrite the new). It seemed far fetched, and sure enough, it was. The game still refuses to read the game data (It's corrupt, etc.), and the XMB still says it's fine.

If you still have the original unpatched version try using Deemer to make a unencrypted save and then see if it'll load (with Deemer still enabled) on the patched version.
