Here it's just a little Python script for patch the gold to 999999.
Drag&Drop ChapterX_dec on the script.

BE CAREFUL
Only tested on my EUR save (It's always the same offset for me).
It may not be for other EUR save, even other regions.
So make a backup of your save and try.

Thank you so much! Is it okay if I check the code to see the offset and work around it so I can add the feature to the FireEditor?

BTW, maybe can i help for a french translation?
Of course! Someone just provided me with translations for all the languages it is available on, from names, classes, items and skills. However, I'll need help translating the GUI. I'll tell you next weekend when I have everything set for translating the GUI!

Thanks again!

1. How do I use this or other save editors with .sav files extracted with sky3ds?
2. What about encryption? How do you handle that?
3. Are sky3ds saves encrypted? Or it works different per game? Because I was trying to hack the .sav file with an hexagesimal editor comparing files but I could't find the changes I was looking for.
Thanks.

1) You can't. Extract your save from your rom using a hax 2.X with a save manager
2) What do you mean?
3) Yeah, saves from Sky3Ds are encrypted (like gateway's .sav files)

2) I mean, the saves extracted with save manager, aren't those encrypted too?

Oh.
Saves extracted with a save manager in homebrew and/or SaveDataFiler are decrypted and ready for edit.

But be careful, even in this way, some saves, once decrypted, are always compressed (compressed is not the same as decrypted).

Thank you for your replies! I was wondering why all of the hacking efforts are focused in this methods when you can use a powersave device anyway, instead in focusing hacking methods using the sky3ds which is a device supported by all firmware versions, not compatible with powersaves and that also makes easy to extract .sav files, which can be decrypted using the SaveDataFiler

Well, this method is free for anyone with a 10.1 or lower FW version 3DS. It's still free on 10.2 for those who downloaded Ironfall when the hack was announced.

Where I live, it's really hard and expensive to get a PowerSave device or a Sky3DS.

I think it's also working in 10.2 since I still can exploit the Cubic hax, running the from from my sky3ds. But I can't extract the save using the save manager, I'm not sure why but I think it should be because I'm running my games from a sky3ds, which sucks for me in particular :P.

So, basically the only alternative I have is extract my saves from my sky3ds, decrypt them using SaveDataFiler, and try to hack them using a hexadecimal editor following the little tutorial in the first pages.

Please correct me if there is another way to extract decrypted saves from a sky3ds. If not, I understand that is pretty convenient being able to extract unencrypted saves using Save Manager, and that that is probably the reason hackers prefer to use this method.

Wow. After lots of reading I was able to extract my save from my sky3ds rom using save data manager and was able to edit it with this FE save editor. Seems like it was possible after all :D.

Good to know. Did everything work alright when importing the save back?
