    Yeah so does anyone know whether US saves are compatible with Europe or Japanese saves? I'm pretty sure they dont but just making sure just in case i want to start FFTA2 early xD.

    In most cases, yes, they are compatible.

    no they dont, since they have different ROM ID

    nope
    rom id " ####" is just the release number, it has nothing to do with the rom
    as long as your save game name and is correct it should work and same game cept for languages =)

    Generally, yes for DS games. Although things like custom character names may be gibberish or remain in their original language.

    I don't thik enigmaindex is talking about the release number... every ROM has a unique ID, i.e. a serial code. Something like ADZP-EUR. You can easily find it by opening up a *.sav file in a hex editor.

    As for the TC's question, SOME games allow for swapping save files. For example, I was playing the EU version of Picross DS and when I loaded the US version, the saves were compatible. However, I tried the same for JP -> US, and it didn't work. My guess is that FFTA2 won't be compatible from JP -> US.

    Howabout the pokemon saves because i can't seem to get it working. =/

    Diamond/Pearl? Japanese saves work on US games and the other way, I don't know about any EU ones (there's like 5 language editions).
