Gaming Sands of Destruction R4 freezing

my SoD game keeps freezing in battle and in the map at Fallenmire.
I'm using R4 and i had a freezing issue in YSauto and 1.18
Anyone else facing this problem + any fix?

I've gotten past Fallenmire without any troubles on v1.18. Is this constantly happening or did it only happen once so far?

I'd try a different ROM if I were you, if it persists.

figures i had a bad rom, i didn't get SoD from my usual site :/
