The Sega RPG, World Destruction is receiving a localization in the form of the new title "Sands of Destruction". The US game will feature a new soundtrack from its Japanese counterpart as well as some tweaks to the combat to make it harder to exploit loopholes in the combat rules. This we already know. But we previously thought the game was set for the very end of the year. Now a new message on the official hub site for the game has appeared confirming that the game will be releasing "summer 2009".

So, another good RPG to look for. If the new soundtrack isn't as good, I hope we can undub it. But I have some faith in the composers, so we'll see. No set release date yet, but summer usually means anywhere from June-August. Keep your eyes out for this one. It also happens to be on a 256MB cartridge, so it has tons of video and voice acting.

For those who want the teaser trailer:

I really hope thats not the opening music for the game. If so, I'm going to have to do some undubbing..

I just looked at the japanese opening. Awsomeness.

I wouldn't be surprised if the U.S version gets the crappy opening theme instead.

All westeners obviously like clasical music instead of J-pop and we'd hate for our games not to be altered to hell. [IMG]

Trailer looks awesome. Good to hear it got bumped up (kinda wondering what was taking them so long to begin with).
