People who have kept track of Sands of Destruction will know that it is a new RPG by SEGA released last year in Japan for the DS. It was called World Destruction in Japan and had a name change for the US release. A new English video was released yesterday showing off some of the battle gameplay-

    Warning: Spoilers inside!

This game boasts a 256MB cartridge with many voice overs and videos spread out during the game. Following criticism of the Japanese version's battle system being way too easy to exploit, Sega has stated that they plan to retool it to make it more challenging and to rid the exploitation glitches. Also, the game will be receiving a newly composed soundtrack. But it is said to be by the same composer as the Japanese composer Yasunori Mitsuda, so I guess that's all good.

This game was originally slated for a summer/fall release for this year in the US, but was unfortunately pushed into next year a few months ago. It is currently set for a Winter 2010 release (probably January).
