Sandisk's are expensive and kinda slow.

Kingston's are FAST and cheap.

Kingston FTW!

It depends actually, if you're so eagerly wanting to play those Castlevania games, there is no reason for you to get Sandisk at all. You won't want to be regret of it.

sandisk is pretty bad for DS. it's official. even the ultraIIs can't handle games as well as the kingston 1 gigabytes.

i think i've been told its not about r/w speeds, rather access times which is most important. (which makes sense to me).

i have used both so this is first hand experience.

I have had no problems with the 2 gig Kingston in the R4. Can't say if Kingston is the best, but from what I have read here, it is

I've had no problems with my 2 gig Sandisk either. If you ever get a freezing or slowdown problem, just format the card to FAT w/ 64k clusters. I wish people would stop bashing Sandisk or cards from taiwan like they're broken. All it takes is a work around.

There's also a 25 meg free space difference between the 1gb Kingston and the 1gb Sandisk! I've got one of each and the Sandisk has less free space on it then the Kingston does.

yes! you do even get more space. They are just overall better quality.

plus things made in japan just tend to be better quality.
if you want full speed on the troublesome games, get a japan made card like

the kingston taiwan is horrible too. you must get the japan one

I have a 1gb sandisk and a 2gb kingstone and have found no difference between the two... apart from the fact that sonic rush slows down a bit on the sandisk, but I havent tried it on the kingston yet, so it could be the rom.

Id still get the kingston though.

Buy one of each, and see for yourself which one is better. Then sell the one you don't like to someone for a ridiculously high price. GO to an idiot for that. It's all a matter of opinion, after all.

I have sandisk 2GB and kingston 1GB micro sd cards.

Both are FAT16, 64k clusters

The only difference between them for me is that with kingston I can actually play Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, without any fear for freezes.
