With the ability to install the cIOS as any IOS, will that allow Sam and Max to be played without modifying the ISO to use a certain IOS?

your not installing the cIOS as any IOS. It always installs as ios249. your simply choosing which ios to use for the installer.

Nope, you can play it through the disc channel if you have preloader installed and set the system menu to load up using IOS249, this feature has been broke since rev10 but has been fixed in rev14.

The game only works if it's patched to use IOS249 or if cIOS33 from cioscorp is installed. And ALWAYS needs to be played from disc. SoftChip, NeoGamma and disc channel can be used to start the game then.

Bugger, I was hoping they would be able to sort the re-load thing with the HDD loaders.
