Hacking Safest route to staying unban with Xecuter.

So I have Xecuter and I've been playing Splatoon 2 Online legitimately. What I mean is, I bought Splatoon 2 instead of getting a backup online. But I got Mario Odyssey, Mario and Rabbids other games that are not legitimately. So obviously backups. So this has been the safest route for me. Buy the online games, but download the backups that are offline. I always take the SD card out when i got back online on splatoon. I delete my internet on switch every time i go on xecuter. Had Xecuter since launch and I've been good ever since. I know xecuter is always a risk of being banned but so far this been the most safest and i'm on lattest firmware. So i haven't been banned. I created this thread to see who else has done a lot with xecuter and is still safe on lattest firmware so we can figure out the ''random bans'' which might not even be all that random.

I want to try something though. My friend has Mario Kart Deluxe. If i dump his backup using the homebrew app that dumps games. Will it be safe? I know nothing is safe but is it likely for me to get ban? will it give me a legit cert? Can I get away with playing online?

I don't want to hear you all say ''there's always a risk'' Like i know that we all know that but i want progress and see how others are doing

There is no safe way yet i'm still unban ''sooner or later'' just shut it with that already you all made a mistake and got ban not all of us are ban. You guys don't want to admit your faults.

i still didn't get the ban, but i am still offline,sooo yah.

no need for hostility toward other people if they say something you don't like, you are hacked your switch, and gone online, but there is still info about games you didn't buy, no one but nintendo can tell if you are going to be banned or not.

if you wants me to tell you are going to be 100% safe, so yes, i will say that, but even you know that's not true, no one knows.

At the moment, It doesn't appear that Nintendo is banning people for just using xci backups. So for now, you are safe.

As for your friends MK8, you can dump it and use it online. Will you get banned for doing that? We do not know yet. If your friend goes online with that game the same time you are using the backup, then yes, you will get banned (might just be the game cert that gets banned, but most likely a switch ban).

The rule of thumb is to never play games you didn't buy online. Nintendo has the ability to detect when someone is playing a cart with a missing cert or without the correct cert, they just haven't started banning people for it yet.

So as the other person said, if you really want to be safe from betting banned, have a switch you don't use any hacks on for that. Otherwise time will tell if Nintendo decides to get ban heavy on people running xci backups.

the problem here, if you dump mario kart 8, and both of you logged online, nintendo will see the same game with the same serial in the same time, this will be gonna make problem.

Oh yeah forgot about that. plus it also means i have to use xecuter and go online. Didn't think tbh. Also sorry for how i acted earlier. I can get childish sometimes. But there's my original post so others can avoid ban as well

there is only ONE way to stay unbanned. Play legit ONLY....no payloads, no homebrew, no TX OS, no DevMenu, no LayeredFS, no NSP/XCI games at all. THAT is the only way to stay unbanned. I never played a single game online since TX OS was shipped. I kept my Switch in airplane mode except when I scanned an Amiibo and then took it offline. However, I did use XCI and NSP files as well as homebrew. Then my husband asked about bans and how would I know if I was banned, I told him "if i'm banned, I cannot access eShop" and I tried to show him but it turns out I was already banned.

I reboot into OFW to go online and to update games, including backups from the home screen.
Reboot into Xecuter when playing backups.

If I'm booted into Xecuter I wont delete my wifi etc, I just make sure I don't do any game updates, use the eshop or go online. I only do that in OFW.

Common sense is the key.
If you dump his game you'll be fine as long as you only play single player. Go online with it and you'll probably be banned because it would mean playing online in CFW mode.

I've only used Xecuter for backups, not messed with anything else or used any homebrew yet.

The mistake is hacking your switch that's what will get the ban. Maybe I was banned before you because I didn't try to "ban" myself by turning off the internet on my switch but be it 1 day 1 week or 1 year people like you will be in these threads and posts asking how to be unbanned I'd say 9 out of 10 people know the risks of this and don't mind being banned I certainly don't I mean the games can't be played online so what does it matter. We don't need eshop we have free shop so while you deem some people to have made a mistake. You yourself has made a mistake by hacking enjoy the online whilst it lasts for you

I planned to do it also (1 legit switch with legit games, 1 other with sx + full piracy), but wtf the prices now of a switch.
I bought mine in the beginning of June 2018, so 2 month ago on Amazon for €274.99, now it's €305, and sometimes I even see €320 or €330

If you are very desperate, there is one way you can pirate games without getting banned, but it's a huge hassle. Also, I'm not responsible if you do get banned, or if you break your Switch in the process.

Before you do ANYTHING you must make a full backup of your NAND. Afterwards, delete your wireless connections and turn on airplane mode. You want to make sure you don't go online while you have pirated games installed.

Next, swap microSD cards. You want one card for all of your legit stuff, and another card for all of your illegitimate stuff.

Now, use whatever method you want to load backups (SX OS, LayeredFS, Hekate/ReiNX with sigpatches, etc.) Play and have fun.

When you want to play online again, use Checkpoint or a similar homebrew and backup all your saves (otherwise you will lose them!)

Restore your NAND backup to your Switch, and switch back to the microSD card you're using for legit purposes.

Congratulations, now your console is back to stock, and there's really know way (that we know of, anyway) that Nintendo can tell you were using pirated games on it. Feel free to play online with it.

If you want to play your pirated games again, you have to start back at the beginning. Make a new NAND backup (to retain savedata in your legit games, and for consistency in telemetry data). Disable wireless. Swap your SD card. You can use Checkpoint to restore your saves for your illegitimate content.

Wash, rinse, repeat. If this sounds like a big pain in the ass just to be able to play some pirated games, it is. Emunand could potentially make things much easier.

And just to clarify, there is NO known way of playing pirated titles online, at least not without a very high ban risk that cannot be undone. Once you are banned, nothing can get you unbanned!
