Like the title says, is it safe to update to 3.3u (from 3.1u) via wifi? The two systems I want to update are running a Wiikey and a D2Pro. Both already have the homebrew channel installed. Will it be safe to update to 3.3u and then use the Waninkoko Downgrader to get back to 3.2u? I heard that 3.3u's only downside is that it cannot read trucha signed disks; what are trucha signed disks?

Yes its safe the Update does'nt harm modchips nor will it do anything to your Wii or homebrew channel. Trucha disks are games that have been modified or edited such as the DVD5 version of Brawl or custom guitar hero games , uncut manhunt etc but these will still work if you run them through apps such as Gecko Region Free.

    No, well, usually not.

If it has *just* been scrubbed, it'll be fine... as the signing won't have been changed. If any game contents has been modified (ie 001 removed, updates removed...) It will have been trucha signed and won't work.

You can still use Gecko OS to boot these though.
