Hacking Rxtools 11.0.0-33 to Luma 11.7 update

Hi Guys
I softmodded my 3ds awhile back and have tried to play todays current gamees like Metroid shamus returns but get a 3ds menu screen that it just stalls on. I checked and it requires a later version then the 11.0 that i am currently on.
Is tgis a simple process to upgrade from 11.0 rxtools/menuhax to luma 11.7? I am using a old 3ds XL.

Probably easiest is to back up the nand first then uninstall rx tool and install Boot9strap and move your nand backup over to the sysnand.

No system firmware doesn't auto update. Set up Boot9strap and Luma first then update to 11.7

Ran homebrew launcher then UDsploit = Success. Then I ran Safehax and I get a black screen and unable to press start or hop out of it so I have to powercycle.
Tried safehax r19 also and same issue, black screen
Has this been an issue with others? I still have a payloader from using rxtools/menuhax but I do not see a arm9 file anywhere on the SD card.
