Hi all,

is it possible to run wii backups for the vwii and wii u backups for the wii u on the same external hard drive?

is it also possible to use only one sd card for the necessary files to run vwii and wii u?

if so is there a tutorial for this?

thanks

Use TeconMoon's Wii VC injector to install Wii games to the Wii U menu. It's much more elegant than booting into vWii every time you want to play your Wii games. Plus it gives you some cool control options, like having the GamePad emulate the Wii Classic Controller, making some games playable in "handheld" mode. And yes, you only need 1 hard drive this way.

1) Use this for Wii games, even Gamecube games if you wanna.
https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-wiivc-injector-script-gc-wii-homebrew-support.483577/

2) Search on youtube a tutorial for that app, you will find it.

3) On this link you will find a list of Wii games, that can be played with the Wii U gamepad, for the others you just need Wii controllers. https://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/WiiU_VC_Wii_inject_compatibility_list

4) You can have all the necessary files for all games you want, just in one SD card.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.

I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Slightly slower loading but a bit more convenient
