    Hello.

I just got a brand new wii and now I'm wondering how can I run games/isos on it? Do I need to have it chipped or what?
I read somewhere you need system version 4.2, homebrew, NeoGamma, Usb loader gx and some other stuff.
Can I install homebrew and then neogamma without "unlocking" wii first? Or will I need to buy a chip? What all do I need?
Could someone please point me to a good tutorial/faq?

I read somewhere you need system version 4.2, homebrew, NeoGamma, Usb loader gx and some other stuff.

    Thank you very much.

First off, you don't need a 4.2 system menu, though it is recommended to have it. Since you just got it, go to the settings and tell us which menu version you have.

Second, you don't specifically need to use those loaders (there's a ton of USB loaders though Neogamma is the best disc loader).

    Third, use ModMii. - http://gbatemp.net/t207126-modmii-for-windows

It is 4.2. So I should leave it at that, yeah?

And I don't want to use CD's at all. I want to load games from USB.
Is USB Loader GX good for that? Geo is only for CDs?

What exactly is ModMii? I don't really understand from the guide. Is it like a homebrew or something?

But mostly I just wanna know if I need someone to unlock/hack/chip my Wii in order to install Homebrew and run ISOs?

    Thank you

You do need to 'unlock' your wii. Modmii a pc app will provide all the stuff you need to do that without a chip. As for a USB loader CFG is dare I say it, the best one.
