How can I run my homebrew channel and all my apps from my usb hard drive instead of the SD card. I would like to be able to run everything without using the SD card, if it's possible.

That's it? So if I move EVERYTHING from my SD:\apps to my FAT32 partitioned hard drive then it will work. Then I can take out my SD card and not use it at all?

You can do it as long as the HBC recognizes your HDD, I do it this way. No SD inserted, SD is just used for SNEEK.
If you have a cheap 50€ no-name HDD it might not work, just try it.

Ok, sounds good. So what exactly is the purpose of using Sneek to emulate the Nand? And where do I get version 2?

    For what? [IMG]

Do what he said. USB formated to FAT32, put the homebrews in there like the SD and in HBC 1.0.6 push button 2 and select USB. Don´t use SNEEK stupidly.

Yes it is as this JuanMatron says. Sneek is a great promise but right now I don't think it will work the way you expect. Copy everything onto the external HDD.

I didn't say I wanted to use it, I only wanted to know what the purpose of using it is. I'm just here to learn. So my question is still unanswered, what exactly is the purpose of using Sneek?

I'll take your advice though and move my apps to my USB and not use Sneek...

SNEEK only are the acronym of "SD NAND/ES Emulation Kit." It´s an application able to run your backup of the NAND through SD, generating a "new" Wii Menu, to protect the bricks and everything.
It is able to run your original games and backups for the Disc Channel, make system updates, access the Shop Channel, Internet, is a "Wii in your SD".

But you doesn´t need it for what you want.

The partition for running homebrew apps must be the FAT32 format or could be in NTFS format?

    Thanks.

Ok, thanks. That's exactly what I needed to know. Maybe someday I'll use it for extra brick protection...
