Others with electrical engineering/computer architecture skills have already gone and I have nothing much to add to that discussion at present. However I want to take it back to a few months back when the possibility of having a model with the gaming side largely gimped ( http://gbatemp.net/threads/xbox-set-top-box-being-released-as-cheaper-alternative.337977/ ) and the thing being a mini set top box was discussed- this would possibly seem to be in line with that at various levels.
Also a dedicated kinect core or something approaching that.... such things might just about see "motion controls" (especially if the video codecs core is remotely accessible for general use) rise above pathetic and become halfway approaching reasonable. Still can not really think of a game design/style that would be improved immensely by it though.
