Description of trailer

So apparently this is heading for the Wii and looks pretty damn gory but at the same time stylish. Its by Platinum Games which was started up by ex-Clover Studios members who also did Viewtiful Joe & Okami as well as some members from Capcom. The video is being taken down all over the place by Sega so sorry if these vids go missing.

Could be for the Wii, could not but it looks like something that could be possible on the Wii.

EDIT: Proper screens further down this thread.

Confirmed!

- black and white game world, red blood
- action game with ‘comical’ ultra-violence
- “Cheerful violence” and “Curb Brawler”
- main character carries the burden of his past on his shoulders, and must deal with his killing ways
- Director - Shigenori Nishikawa
- no official Japanese release date at this time

Cool! I hoped they would do something in the vein of Okami or Viewtiful Joe first, but hey, it still look great! Look similar to No More Heroes, wich is a good thing.

Those dudes could have done anything on Wii, and I'd be interested. It looks pretty violent, and though I have my moods, it's not a selling point for me. That said, the dev team have done so many stylistic, innovative things in the past, I will be anticipating this game greatly. Plus, I loved Sin City, so perhaps Mad World will be just my cup of tea (blood).

Looks good. But might be kind of confusing since the whole game's in black and white I think.. maybe it's just the screenshots.

Quite violent.. I enjoy No More Heroes, but this is sort of pushing it for me. I'm not really into those violent games, but I'll give this a try since it reminds me of No More Heroes.

Thanks for the screenshots and trailers.

from what I see what GHM did with the Jap version of NMH (bloodless and black clouds), Platinum Games said that the game may not get a proper JAP release due to the violence. So if there's anyone with a NTSC-J wii craving for MadWorld, i dont think that's going to happen

I thought the censorship with NMH was down to the developers and not Nintendo or those who give out ratings?
