Rumor: PSP Firmware 6.00 Incoming This Week?

Earlier last week, we reported about Sony releasing a brand new firmware for developers. Don't look now, it seems the same firmware is heading to our PSP's real soon. How soon?

While answering some fan question regarding the Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do To Deserve This? Demo, Allison Walter of NIS America said that expect firmware 6.0 to be released on or before September 10:

Hi Killzone_Kid! This is what has been decided for the Badman demo: we're going to re-release it next Thursday, 10 Sept, by which time Firmware 6.0 should have been released. Sorry for the wait!

If the post is true, then we can expect a new firmware update sometime this week. Stay tuned.

Come on, please be true! I want to play some Armored Core 3! And Tales of VS!

This doesn't mean DAX will come out of his vacation to make cfw 6.00. However, it's highly probable and I hope he does, cross your fingers. 5.00 m33-6 is outdated and even though some games get fixes, not all of them do and it's annoying to wait for a fix all the time.

I bought Disgaea 2 Dark Hero Days, but it requires Firmware 5.55, so I hope he releases cfw 6.00. I am never upgrading to gen or MHA, they both suck.

Boo-hoo. If you want online gaming, use the official firmware. That's the way it works. You wouldn't get on most online PC games either using some crack and keygen.

what i fear have happened

sony will keep releasing small patches to the system, only giving out the requirement for games that will sell alot, since that happen, cfw maker won't see much difference and stop making the patch

Never said anything about DAX, could be a CFW in general. GEN or MHA, M33 it doesn't matter.

I would be far more interested in knowing whether they fixed that infernal Badman game. I haven't seen a game that was this arbitrary and meandering since that card minigame in Final Fantasy VIII.

If they ever produced an upgraded version where the mechanics make some sense, it could be worthwhile to play.

i bet this is defy the hacking ability of the hackers cuz i think it's specifically made for this reason like the psp go is (consider it's battery)
