Holy fuck, that's pretty expensive.
Hmmm... 250 dollars (£170) seems rather worth it imo considering the specs of the console compared to the PSPgo which is still £210 in the shops lol.
not that big difference on the price compared to DSIXL
How reliable is '3DSnews.net'? I ask because that blog post is nearly a month old and if it was a reliable source I'd imagine at least some other news/game sites in Japan or the west would have picked it up by now.
acceptable price to the system and all but too expensive for the general public... maybe it may get upto 200$ not less
this wont stop ppl from buying it like those who didnt buy psp
I don't believe this source but i still think the price is going to be $300 AUD
heh, gonna buy one from Japan then
Original article in English from June 17th. It's just some industry analyst speculating after E3.
A month old article from an English website quoting an English speaking analyst, translated into Japanese and then google-translated back into English - it's the web 2.0!
If this is true, that's quite good news! The price is less than I expected at least.
Still not sure if I'll buy it though, the 3D effect will have to convince me first.
ds was around 300
dsi was 300
now dsixl is 300
pretty cheap i guess since it's a new thing
What happened to the rumored worldwide release of the nintendo 3ds? I would really like to see this release before Christmas. Otherwise, I will be busy with spring semester classes. I think I will keep my fingers crossed.
This source doesn't seem reliable. The 3DS is very likely to have a release in both Japan and North America in 2010.
Do you not have a fall semester class? Exams usually come in January for that...
I'll wait for the 3DS Lite
The beauty is that one of the stores near me always runs pretty sweet offers during the first couple of days of a console release where you can buy a new console and get a game or two basically free. If I can raise the necessary funding then I'll most certainly invest.
Unless they have testing models in shops you won't be able to be convinced until you buy one.
Don't forget though - what USUALLY happens is that the UK (& Europe) usually get screwed on prices - where US may get it for $250 (£170) - it will most probably be on sale in the UK for £250 ($390)
29800 Yen = £219. Bit on the expensive side. I really want it on launch in the UK but the most I can go is £200 which I've put aside especially for it. Then again it wouldn't be a direct conversion anyway. Although costing £219 at launch would be more expensive than the Wii at launch. I know the 3DS has new tech in it but are Nintendo ones for selling handhelds higher than their consoles?
