Rumor: New Play Control! Pikmin 2 heading to North America

Nintendo Everything reader Sondast tells us that the May 2012 issue of Nintendo Power has confirmed New Play Control! Pikmin 2 for North America. It’s apparently releasing this June. This does seem likely, but we’ll mark this as a rumor until we can verify the news.
New Play Control! Pikmin 2 made it out in Japan and Europe back in 2009. Even though the Wii port of the first game was brought stateside, the sequel was not released in North America. Launching New Play Control! Pikmin 2 would be a great way to remind fans of Pikmin 3′s impending arrival on Wii U.

Pikmin 2 was one of the best New Play Control games, they felt very natural to the style of play of Pikmin.
It may be late as hell but you guys in America shouldn't be deprived of this, especially with the rarity of Pikmin 2 as it is.

It is a whole game of its own worth.
Besides Pikmin 3 is more than likely going to be for Wii U, released earlier to build hype for the upcoming release.

you said no interest, two pretty major improvements should give you atleast some interest.
i wasn't nessacarily saying to buy it, but if you are going to play pikmin 2 at all might as well go for the better version.
this is great news for people who can't afford or find the rare gamecube version, or who just want to play the better version and dont want to pirate it and buy component cables.

This would definitely add more fuel to the "imminent Pikmin 3 announcement" fire. It's too little, too late by this point though; I really doubt it will be much use for promotion.
