They really need to release Mass Effect Complete and Mass Effect 2 Complete either before as budget releases first of all.

Might surprise us with bundles. I mean in general, not just this company.
Bunch of wii u editions mix with new games.

Also I think the hate on the wii u and Nintendo in general is way too high.

Playing Mass Effect 2 without playing Mass Effect is already a big downer.

Playing Mass Effect 3 without 2 and 1 is incredibly stupid.

was this not a microsoft exclusive ?

Not even Mass Effect 2 was a Microsoft exclusive. The publisher of Mass Effect got changed from Microsoft to EA for ME2 and ME3.

EDIT: Coming from a Mass Effect lover, I think anyone who would wait for this on the WiiU is a big retard. Arkham City is one thing. Buying the third game in a series incredibly centered on following your past games (meaning importing your character and what not) without being able to play or import the last two games is just utter shit. Touch screen or not, this will most definitely be the worst version of the game. Period.
You did it again. Why constantly insult?! I sense much anger in you, young Padawan...

Anyone heard of cross-platform-playing. I played ME1 on a friend's 360 (never owned a 360) and ME2 on PC. Now what would be wrong when I playing ME3 on WiiU?

Edit: Come to think of, ME2 had barely a story anyway. It was like "Mighty Shepard looking for soldiers helping him on the coming war".

A) The whole point of Mass Effect is transferring your character from game to game. It makes you feel more immersed and makes the story feel like a continuous, single story instead of just sequels.
B) ME2 on the PS3 was already a big facepalm for me. You definitely need to play Mass Effect for the full effect of Mass Effect 2. I played Mass Effect and was blown away. Mass Effect 2 solidified my loyalty to the series. They're easily the best RPGs of all time in my book.
C) Mass Effect 2 didn't have a good story? Lol, you're funny. It feels like more of a bridge than Mass Effect did and odds are Mass Effect 3 but it was still deep and had great characters. It definitely set the stage well for Mass Effect 3.

Hopping from platform to platform really defeats the purpose of Mass Effect, which is all about save transferring. I don't want to get the WiiU version and have to start from scratch with a new character when I've become attached to my male Sheppard on the Xbox 360.

I don't care for save transferring and I haven't cared before in any other game (e.g. Dragon Age). And I'm sure I'm not the only one. It doesn't defeat the whole purpose. I did and I had much fun, even if you don't believe :P

Tbh I`m also one of thpse guys who actually didn`t play ME1&2 on the same system (1 on 360 and 2 on PC) and it never bothered me that I didn`t carry over my Shepard, though that would have been a nice touch. But quite frankly it wouldn`t have enhanced my experience with the game a whole lot. So like I said I definitely would be interested in a WiiU-version of ME3.

Dragon Age is largely different from Mass Effect, mainly since BioWare just blew chunks on DA2. Each Mass Effect game transfers your character and decisions and does impact the story quite a bit. Dragon Age 2 was just "HAHA A REFERENCE TO ORIGINS, YOU LIKE THAT RIGHT?" They're hugely different. I played Dragon Age 2 before I did Origins and there's like not a shit given about your decisions in Origins.

It defeats a large amount of the story telling purpose if you're starting from scratch each time. And a comic doesn't do justice to two games worth of in depth story and characters.

Eh, I wouldn't even consider buying ME3 for the Wii U; even though the concept of having unique controls with features the other platforms wouldn't have, it'd still probably be crap to play on a Nintendo console. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love Nintendo, but after the N64, all the good adult oriented games with great stories (there are some exceptions) went out the window.

If someone was going to wait for ME 3 for the Wii U, how long would they have to wait for? A year?

Mass Effect 3 is coming out March 6th, I think the WiiU is still Q2 2012. So it wouldn't be that long.

There is online play, right? You have to wait for a whole bunch of people to buy a Wii U then buy Mass Effect. Mass Effect doesn't seem like it will be a Wii U launch title so waiting could even be longer. Top on of that, Nintendo doesn't know how to operate online servers properly. I hope they learned their lesson from Brawl.

Where did you get that idea?

Not everyone plays online. Why wouldn't it be?

Even if that last statement is true, Nintendo is letting devs work on their online servers and iirc they can use their own servers.
