Still unknown whether it's 1 friend code per game, or 1 per system (read bold part).
    Let's hope it's the latter.

Actually, I saw this on Gamefaqs, so all credit goes to the guy who posted it (Dr_Koopa76).

You shouldn't make the topic title seem like it's confirmed.

Please place [RUMOR] in front of your topic if it's not been confirmed.
AlsoI really don't see how friendcodes are "Another great disappointment" it's more annoying than disappointing since it was kinda seen a mile away.

Friend codes will stay friend codes - whether it's one per game or one per system.
I see nothing wrong with the title, seeing as it's pretty much confirmed (by Famitsu).

I really wish nintendo would step up their online, they're years behind the competition. I very rarely played ds games online due to the stupid friend codes.

If it's console specific, then it's really no different than adding someone's cell phone number. I'm hoping that's the case. If not, it's not really the end of the world - hopefully they'll let you add friends after fighting them online by having an "exchange friend code" option.

Nintendo has never really been an online oriented company, at the must with their multiplayer they try to keep them as offline as possible.
Them doing this with this system isn't much of a shock at this point.

I don't remember which game, but there was one that used the system's friend code rather than its own.
At any rate, friend codes have never bothered me that much so i don't care if it's a per system or per game thing. Specially since it has a random matchup feature.

Didn't Nintendo, and Reggie say a earlier last year that they're looking into the friendscode problem that people have?

maybe they use friend codes for simple identification. like user names in PSN.

I remember one of them saying that at E3 but they were probably just blowing smoke up our asses.

If nintendo make the same mistake and include Friend Codes AGAIN, I'll be unvelievably dissapointed. You'd think they would've learned that the friend code system does not work.

While I don't really like them, I can deal with them. The problem is that no one else sees it my way and now no one ever plays online.

While I dislike them, they really are not that big of a deal. I do wish they would just get rid of them, but seeing as Nintendo is kid friendly it's a good way to keep little Johnny away from the big bad monkat nipples running rampant in the world these days.

QFT. Goddamn just give us the possibility to have a nickname for the console and that's all. No more fiddling with all those damn numbers!
