"A video is making the rounds on the internet supposedly confirming the existence of Dead Rising 2. The video makes reference to the events of the first game, also noting that a drug has been created to halt the spread of the zombie disease. We're guessing said drug wasn't too effective, as the video then moves on to showcase a casino / hotel environment filled with zombies. The video also mentions a discovery of some sort by Isabella Keyes, a lead character from the first game. Finally, was that a giant hamster ball?

Is this the first official confirmation of Dead Rising 2? We've contacted both the YouTube user who uploaded the video and Capcom for comment. In the meantime, let's not forget that Keiji Inafune himself stated the game was in the works during a (supposedly mistranslated) interview with Famitsu just last week. Watch the video after the break."

Hell yeah! The zombies have a really Dead Rising look to them. The first one is great, I find it hard as hell but still love playing it. Still, even if it's not Dead Rising 2 you can never have enough zombie killing games!

I've been waiting for this. Dead Rising is still one of my favorite games of this generation, every once in a while I pop it in and go through a playthrough or two or maybe try Infinity Mode some more (I've yet to get that damn 7 day survivor achievement. RAGE!)

This better be real.

Urghhh. I bought Dead Rising during Christmas and regret it. The game play isn't the bad part. Its the damn save mechanic. Why can't I just save whenever Capcom?

Doesn't dead rising 2 have a different developer to the first?, they better not mess up. Also never understood the hate for the way you save. There are bathrooms all over the place, along with the control room save point, it isn't like you're ever far from one. Being able to save when ever would make it too easy, save before boss fight, save before trying to get survivors rescued, die doing it, don't matter just reload save.

@dinofan: It was to add tension. According to the developer, too many people did the whole "Oh I'll try thi-Oh crap it didn't work RELOAD SAVE" thing and it made the game no fun and quite anticlimatic. I actually understand where he's getting at too. The game is so short though that it really shouldn't be a problem. At least if you die and save your experience and bonuses carry over.

@War: As long as you have an even decent sized TV it's fine. I played it back on an 19" screen just fine when I first had it. It is small but it's not impossible to read.

@Armadillo: That's just a rumor, there's no fact to it yet. I wouldn't doubt it though.

@TrollyDave: Missed this part of your post, there are some things in the video that are apart of Dead Rising's plot, so there's no way this isn't Dead Rising 2. If this is real.

I loved the first. It was the third game I bought when I got the 360. I love the fact that you can't just save whenever, it definitely makes it alot harder. I'm terrible at it (keep getting killed by the psychos in the pickup truck) but still play it alot. Games where you can save all the time are way too easy.

The save mechanic was perfect.
You always had a save room in each section of the mall you went to(Except Maintenance Tunnels, Food Court, and the middle area[Forgot the name]), and if you died, it was your own damn fault.
When I started the game I always died whenever I went into the middle area(Again, can't remember) and got gunned down by the Convicts almost immediately. Once I hit level 10, I finally was able to make it past, and killed Adam. The second you kill that fucker, 99% of the difficulty of the game is removed simply because of his Chainsaws. Once you triple book them, nothing should be killing you ever. Not to mention you should always keep a couple nectars on hand. I also advise doing the Zombie Genocider achievement for the Real Mega Buster. You are pretty much untouchable(Unless you miss with the chainsaws/RMB) against any boss simply because that thing destroys bosses in 4 shots(Convicts in one).
