(Footage contains blood and violence, do not watch if this makes you uncomfortable)

I just found RUINER after Devolver Digital tweeted about it today after it's announcement trailer, and it's apparently been in development since 2014. I'm pretty hyped up already! It's a top-down shooter set in 2091, made with Unreal Engine 4 and by a team of four made up of people that's worked on games such as the Witcher series, Dying Light, This War of Mine and Shadow Warrior.

"RUINER is a brutal action shooter set in the year 2091 in the cyber metropolis Rengkok. A wired sociopath lashes out against a corrupt system to uncover the truth and retrieve his kidnapped brother under the guidance of a secretive hacker friend."

The game is story driven, has a really great art-style in my opinion and the music from the trailer sounds great. Combat seems to be fast-paced and you'll be able to pick from a variety of gadgets such as an energy shield, dashing and hacking enemies to fight for you.

Honestly this pleases me so much aesthetically, I love cyberpunk themed games. What do you guys think? Will anyone else be giving this a shot?

Edit: 15 minutes of combat gameplay and a quick look at the tutorial from PAX!

I'm pumped. Gameplay looks like a frantic Hotline Miami type of thing.

I meant to add, I really hope this comes to PS4/Vita at some point. I don't really have a good PC to play games with. So I just kinda wait and hope that they all make their way over to the bubbling PSN someday. Hey it worked for Risk of Rain, Shovel Knight, and others.

I'm fairly certain it will, I'd be surprised if it didn't make it's way to PSN, but of course, I'm not the developer so don't take my word for it. Which you probably won't.

The reason I'm saying that tho is because it's made with Unreal Engine 4, which makes it easier to port for Xbox One and PS4. Especially since it'll work well as a twin-stick game.

Vita would be really nice too.

Yeah the twin stick thing is perfect for consoles. I really wish there were more of them for the vita or consoles in general. in the same vein, I wish there were more space shoot'em ups.

I'm still waiting patiently for Hyperlight Drifter. Indie Vita machine. I love it.

Added some gameplay videos to op, looks like it's gonna be great. Digging the soundtrack. There's even keygen music used in there for supply drops, try and see if you can hear which ones they are.
