    Opinions????

I'm sad for what happened to him. But as long as he's happy. Meh. He and his boyfriend at least make a cute couple.

I find this completely BS. He's basically filling in the gay stereotypes to justify his story. Why the fuck would you quit your job at a bank to become a hairdresser? He must've become more than just gay from the stroke.

A perfect representation of why we should cherish our bodies and make wise decisions. His recklessness (whether he is fond of it or not) changed his life, affecting many others. Rather than feeling bad for this guy, I feel terrible for his ex-girlfriend. She was there for him, waiting for his awakening, and that's what she gets?

    LOL WUT!

Now I'm kinda of scared of having a stroke, heart attack, etc and then surviving.

This is also like the the fifth time I've read about something like this happening, and it every time it seems likelier and likelier it will happen to me :(.

Strokes are scary no matter what. Surviving is also frightening because you may lose your ability to speak.

Your absolutely right. I'm just saying apart from the life threatening condition of a stroke, there might even be a chance that you loose your previous personality almost completely, that seems a tad bit scarier that not being able to speak to me.

I get that I couldn't imagine never liking video games or manga. And turning into a completely different person it's so horrible.

Mr Birch recalled: ‘I was gay when I woke up and I still am. It sounds strange but when I came round I immediately felt different.

‘I wasn’t interested in women any more. I was definitely gay. I had never been attracted to a man before – I’d never even had any gay friends.

‘But I didn’t care about who I was before, I had to be true to my feelings.’

Some people are born with their brain made in such a way that it makes them gay - scans of brains of homosexuals show their brains are more like that of the opposite sex than straight people of the same gender. Presumably the damage to this guy's brain changed it in a similar way, hence the lack of desire to play aggressive sports etc as well.

... or maybe he just used the incident as an excuse to get out of the closet, because he didnt had enough balls to admit it and explain it to his girlfriend, familly, etc.

Dammit Nahuel I was about to post that when I read the article :P

The brain is a weird thing. I remember a story of a guy got bonked on the head and became a genius but also an unsatiable sex molester. Now, the injury might have been an excuse to start groping coworkers, but I doubt he'd been faking an average IQ his entire life up to that point.

Brains, man, how do they work? :ha:

I do think the stroke might have been an excuse for him to come out of the closet.
