Hacking rts not working

I just got my m3 mini-sd, with black casing, fits flush in my GB Micro.

But now the problem, i want to use RTS. I want to realtimesave in GTA, donkey kong country, so i can continue my game where i was left the other day.

I can patch donkey kong country, but when i press save in the L+R+A+B menu i only get garbage and the game hangs

Also i cannot patch GTA with RTS, it wont boot up anymore then.

can someone help me with this? I thought is was named the M3 Perfect for a reason
