    RSS feeds updated

    New feature

After yesterday's update (the shoutbox) I've taken care of one of the requests regarding the RSS feeds. You can now follow topics of specific forums by using this feed: RSS-Topics

Without parameters, this will give you a list of the most recent topics, ordered by date of the last post - a bit like the "Latest Discussions" box on the portal. But the best part is that you can as get the list of topics for a specific forum and thus be alerted when a new topic is created, or when a new message is posted in one of this forum's topics.

For example, if you wish to follow your favourite forum which has to be the Testing Area, the URL of the feed is:
    Code:
    http://gbatemp.net/rss-topics.php?filter=8
The "8" corresponds to the forum ID, in this case the Testing Area's forum id is 8.

You may also want to follow multiple forums:
    Code:
    http://gbatemp.net/rss-topics.php?filter=8,7
This will list the topics from the Testing Area and the Off-Topic Chat forums.

Me too. I never really used RSS until a few months ago.

Now I can't live without them!

on the board index ( http://gbatemp.net/index.php?act=idx ), move your mouse over one of the forum links, and in your browser's status bar you'll get something like:
    http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showforum=X
where X is the "forum id"

There's still a relatively big problem with this, in that it goes by most recent post. If I make a RSS feed for just the Wii/DS releases, it won't show the most recent release, but instead the most recent post.

I can't get it to work at all, I get errors when trying to subscribe to the Wii Release forum. And yeah, for those release forums it should go by release number, not by most recent post.

    Code:
ÂInternet Explorer cannot display this feed

Â A normalization error has occurred.
Â Â Go back to the previous page.
Subsequently I can't view them in my Vista sidebar.

Sorry for bumping an ancient thread, what are the current RSS feeds?
