As a fan of rallying it's very sad to hear that Colin McRae and his 5 year old son have died in a helicopter crash:

By the way where are you reading the kid died? That story only says him, and then the stuff below says the roasting of the chopper was so bad they couldn't tell much of anything from what was left so far (as of when that was typed up.) Depressing regardless.

You know, I always thought he would die in a serious rally accident kinda like I thought Steve Irwin would die from getting bitten by a snake but I suppose that's the way it goes.

Same here. Makes some kind of sense, though. A rally car, for Colin (much like snakes for Steve) was familiar territory, and he had a lot of experience there and knew his footing, while a helicopter (or a ray) was a new and unfamiliar territory with a lot of nasty (and fatal) surprises.
