I'm trying to rip music from a website, it's streaming and i'd love to grab it. Anyone know anything without having to record the whole thing live.

    It Depends on the format?

However, there's always good old "Record Stereo Mix" from your sound card...

It depends how it is embedded.

If it's a Windows Media Player/similar embed, try right clicking and choosing properties and the URL may be there.

If you are using Firefox, right click on the page, click "View Page Info" then click on the Media tab and look for a "embed" type generally.

Sorry, just missed the post above my previous one.

If it's flash based, you'd want to look at the website's sourcecode for clues.

    Edit: Automerge didn't work, sorry.

You can use the DownloadHelper add-on for Firefox or check up the HTML of the page or something

I just grabbed the songs from the site using Orbit, which you can download from the link below.

    http://www.orbitdownloader.com/index.htm

I also use it to grab youtube videos and BBC iPlayer programmes.

Select Tools/Grab++ then play the song you want to grab, the song will then show up in the Grab++ box, now just select the song and click download.
