Can I use Safe updater 4.2 to revirginize my Wii?

that will update all of your IOS's and system menu, but leave your cIOS and boot2 untouched.

I'm now at 4.1E and I have removed the system memory (options menu and then remove system memory) is the wii now softmod free?

No its not. Formatting leaves cIOS installed. It won't bother anyone if you leave it. All but IOS250 will be overwritten by an official update anyway.

If you wish to remove it manually: Delete IOSes 202,222,223,249,250 using AnyTitle Deleter Mod, then update the wii.
