Review: EZ Flash IV Lite

Official GBAtemp Review

Let's take a break from all the passcard reviews and take a quick look at the re-design of the EZ Flash IV - the EZ Flash IV Lite.

This is a hardware only review - no software is covered, that's in the original EZ Flash IV review!

Your review is quite well-written, good work Shaunj66. However, in my personal opinion, it would be best to avoid purchasing an EZ Flash IV Lite for several reasons. Your money is better spent on a Supercard or M3.

Actually, I would have to agree. I was perfectly happy with my standard EZ4, but some of that came from the knowledge I'd have constant updates and compatibility fixes, but the updates are now very slow, and there is no excuse for the relatively low level of homebrew compatibility. The coupled with the fact my standard EZ4 just stopped working one day, and the somewhat poor build quality (especially on the Lite version) you're probably better off either purchasing something else or waiting a little while (especially with DS slot solutions around the corner).

So why don't you tell us some reasons?

Lack of homebrew support is a major problem imo.

First of all you said several reasons. Second most homebrew is supported, only the writing part is not fully supported.

Ok, slow updates and compatibility with new commercial roms. Why settle for 2nd or 3rd best?
