What Atmosphere version? Forgot to check if newest layeredfs changes could break something

I noticed layeredfs issues with competing sys modules that all worked together on 1.2.3 but can only run by themselves on 1.2.4. Seems to be some sort of conflict.
Specifically having issues with NXThemes and SoundNX.
Try removing your custom sys modules in /atmosphere/contents/ and see if that helps. If it does, simply move them back a handful at a time until it breaks again to help narrow down any potential conflicts.
I can't for the life of me get this to work anymore :/ I deleted my atmosphere and switch folder and started fresh. when in game it says game is running. reversenx-rt is not running, in red but under that says plug in is running :/.
all I have install on my switch is sys clk status monitor overlay Tesla menu oil sys module saltynx saltynx tool reversing tool sys clk overlay nx ovlloader
Send pics, your post looks like a mess. You can even look at source code - what you described that is showed in overlay is impossible.
when i get home ill get some pictures. tried starting fresh again. back to what it was doing a few months ago. game would crash at first launch causing saltynx to crash and only way to get that running again was to reboot the switch.
i dont understand being that i dont think i have any other sys module's running. idk

You're using MacOS? It created second file in the same folder as plugin and it crashes SaltyNX.
Watch out with using Mass Storage in combination with MacOS - it can mess up your sdcard. Use only MTP or FTP when possible. Similar issue has Linux although it doesn't create new files.
Windows is the only safe OS for mass storage in Switch case
^ I use FTP most of the time, but when I do need to connect as mass storage from Hekate, I've got an app running on my Mac called CleanMyDrive 2 which clears off the unnecessary extra Mac files before ejecting the disk. Free and easy and worth having for this and potential other reasons.
E: almost forgot you have to watch out for archive bit nonsense with Mac too. I use command line "copy -XpR" but if that's not your jam you can just run Hekate's fix archive bit tool after you eject.

wow i can't believe that for the past few months this was all because of my mac lol. running cleanmydrive 2 fixed it. seems to be good now.
this is odd because i have show hidden files enabled on my mac and i didnt see any extra crap on my sd card where saltynx and the plug in was located. only saw the normal crap macs put on drives at the root of the drive ( spotlight and trash hidden folders)

i was taking my sd card out and using my sd card reader on my mac (which is a pain because i have to use my rcmloader everytime. ill look into just using FTP instead. hopfully its not slow.
now i have to remember how to compile sysclk. i year ago i downloaded the source and edited the restrictions of running higher gpu clocks on battery but it was on a really old version.
