Hacking return to exfat result: failed to stat stage2 atmosphere

I tried to reformat my card in my pc to exfat and return all files back to the card because I find xci splitters unreliable.
Now i'm in an infinite loop boot of "failed to stat stage2 (atmosphere/fusee-secondary.bin)" No bootloaders work anymore not rei not SxOS
Firmware 7.0 or so and everything except bigger files worked up until I changed file systems.

The file 'fusee secondary.bin' I got from the latest github release, it is present and up to date. Not much in Google either.
I can't get the Switch to boot into Horizon cause of AutoRCM and it simply reloads the payload.

Please I am at a loss for my next move.

Some missing details we need in order to help you.

1. How did you upgrade?
2. Did you use choidejournx?
3. Did you select upgrade with exfat?

try disabling RCM and load the payload manually while you're soting this out. first rule of any fault finding is take everything back to the most basic seup then start adding in the extras to find out what is causing the issues.

Removing autoRCM won't solve anything as he can always push hekate and reboot to stock. So do that OP.

1) I had Ninty do it since I couldn't figure out how to extract the update from a game for Choidujour. I decided the quickest route to FF7 would be this way.

2) Unable to use choidujour, BUT I had used it in the past. So it's on there.

3)I have the exfat update. I've been using this card for over a year now.

@gizmomelb I can't get anywhere to turn autoRCM off AND I did through SXOS and maybe reiNX. So it might be permanent.

I went back to fat32 and made it most basic! It works again. I just don't know what files are getting in the way.

I simply replaced atmosphere's necessary folders from the zip and went back to FAT32.

It boots and all but album takes me to my album and not atmosphere.

You tried the latest Kosmos pack along with Atmosphere? Run the SD card as FAT32 you probably mess up by not installing exFAT driver.

if you use the latest atmosphere, you need to hold R while starting any installed game (for full ram access, needed for things like psp and n64 in retroarch) or the album (nonfull ram access) to get to homebrew.


as for the issue overall, if you didn't have the exfat patch before you did that update and you updated with a fat32 cart, you wouldn't get the exfat patch automatically.

additionally, i'm not sure if the exfat patch persists an update, especially nintendos official one, if you initially got it from choidujour.

But you haven't used the card with exFAT right? You don't get the exFAT update until you actually insert an exFAT formatted card (or you install it manually with ChoiDujour(NX))

I was using exfat for awhile. But people kept telling me that you can't make cheats and there's a corruption bug that can happen. So I swapped. Now I can't go back.

Tegra Explorer, format sd as fat32, save my life from failed to stat stage2 (atmosphere/fusee-secondary.bin), after that a fresh install of atmosphere, job done !
