    they both do

you guys think the Gameboy Color VC games on 3DS games will use the IR as they did on an actualGameboy Color?
for instance, pokemon silver, gold, crystal mystery gift between others with the game on 3ds & gameboy color.

Gameboy Rolor Games that use IR>
-Austin Powers - Beam secret messages to an opponent (not very useful when you're sitting next to each other)
-Bomberman Max - Each unique signal from an infrared device unlocks a different secret area
-Dogs - Trade dogs and toys
-Mission Impossible - Point a TV remote at the GBC to clone it's signal then use your GB to control the TV
-Perfect Dark - Exchange unlocked multiplayer maps
-Pokémon Crystal,Gold, Silver - Mystery Gift & Link up to the cyberpet Pocket Pikachu Color to unlock hidden items and monsters
-Pokemon Trading card game 1& 2 - Card pop (trade cards)
-Robopon - Point a TV remote at the GBC to open unlockable chests
-Super Mario Bros DX - merge high scores

Would be great if they implemented this into the 3DS VC. I have to agree with m3rox that they probably wont implement it.

It's only 8-9 games out of thousands of gb games, we don't even know if one of those game will get a 3ds vc release (higly possible for pokemon/mario dx).

I don't think they'll add such feature (same goes for koro koro kirby and it's sensor).

I can't think of ANY reason to include an IR sensor on a modern handheld if it wasn't going to be used to backwards compatibility with systems that used one.
