hey all, i wanted to thank you for the amazing work! after adjusting audio driver to AXPro and setting sample rate to 44100 for ps1 and 32000 for snes (sega and gba cores didn't offer that option but worked oob), games across these systems run very well:
ps1 (dithering off)
snes (highest sample quality)
gba, gbc, gb
sega genesis/master drive - sega cd
arcade testing still WIP
no changes to the other cores, but something i did change across all cores is bilinear filtering on. i know most people like to have it off for sharpest pixels, but they are a bit too sharp and kind of mush together. using minish cap as an example, i was able to see the townspeople's faces with bilinear filtering on.
one other question, are there any filters to enhance quality on ps1 3d games? i tried a few but they did cost a bit in performance, making the games unplayable, so my guess would be no?
again, amazing work, because after everyone's help, it runs just as good as the wii standalone counterparts. some other minor bug reports are freezing when opening and closing too many games (even when properly closing content before moving to another game), freezing when closing retroarch and reopening it several times, and sometimes major stuttering after changing a setting, though the game will retain the setting and work fine after restart.
