Hacking Retail Cart Save to Gateway Rom Save? (For Pokemon AS)

I have a save on my Pokemon AS that I created on my 2DS before I got a 3DS XL for Gateway. Now that I use my 3DS XL, I want to transfer the save to use on Gateway.

If I dump my own rom and backup my own save from the same cart, will the save work on the Gateway emuNAND? I've looked a bit into it and found that back in January, this wasn't possible for games such as Smash or Pokemon yet, but I couldn't find anything more recent than that.

EDIT: While I'm at it, I guess I should ask if I can dump my own rom or backup my save of Pokemon AS. When I attempt to do so in the Gateway ULTRA 3.3 menu, it gives me an error FFFFFFFB.

You can decrypt it using SaveDataFiler in CFW, and import it to the GW with SDF in GW mode.

I'm new to the concept of 3DS CFW. What would be the ideal CFW that would allow me to set this up while still being able to use GW as I have so far?
