During the current and on-going Tokyo Game Show 2020, Capcom has been releasing new material and trailers for some of their biggest franchises, one of which being Resident Evil.
First, they released a new trailer for their upcoming main Resident Evil title, Resident Evil VIII: Village, and while that was indeed a new and welcomed sight to behold, Capcom also unveiled and announced, through a teaser trailer, that they will also be releasing a completely new CGI series directly to Netflix, with a yet unknown precise month and day, with the only known date of its release being 2021.
The trailer itself features Claire walking down a dark room with a flashlight, slowly panning into what seems to be a dead corpse. Then, the camera switches to a zombie about to attack a yet unknown man, with the zombie being shot by none other than Leon S. Kennedy.
While not much detail is given for what the series plot or story would be, it can be assumed that it will follow down the canon storyline of the games, in a similar matter to what the other CGI Resident Evil movies have done before, being in line with Resident Evil: Degeneration, Resident Evil: Damnation and Resident Evil: Vendetta.
