It is likely just coming to current consoles. The Wii U doesn't even have a release date, and nothing is finalized. Nobody even has Wii U dev units yet, and likely won't for another few months. I expect to see the Wii U arriving Q3 next year, and that is likely to be out of reach of RE6 unless that takes a really long time.

What? Companies do have it. If it's the finalized version is another matter.

Last I heard, the hardware wasn't even finalized yet. The dev units never are the final thing though. Regardless, I hold my prediction that we probably won't be seeing the final system with a launch line up until Q3 2012.

Edit: If you're thinking of E3, the footage shown from non-Nintendo sources was footage from other systems. At that point, it seems like the order was in place, but nobody had started anything yet.

actually alot of company do have wii u dev kits, some just dont have finalized dev kit yet. (but the ones they have are pretty powerful)
& they said around spring 2012 release so that sounds like somewhere between feb & march 2012.

but for this game im hoping they bring back the horror & quit trying to look like the matrix lol.
also hoping they dont cancel RE: Revelations for 3DS like they did Assassins Creed: Lost Legacy & Megaman: Legends 3DS [IMG]

Probably for PS Vita since 3DS has mercenaries.

Probably not as, thus far, all new numbered entries in the main series have appeared on home consoles exclusively. But who knows for sure?

iPhone also has Mercenaries, its not a proper RE game just a spin off. Capcom always put its number entries on home consoles though it wouldn't be much of a stretch to see it on PSP Vita as well though that really depends on what engine it is on.

It won't. They go big with the numbered installments. You can guarantee it will be top notch and made to please.

It's *twice as fast* as the PS3, that's hardly "slotting in".

If this is true, it won't be on the handhelds, I'm sure.

    Much less on the 3DS.

I dunno... I wouldn't use this generation's footage at my showing if it was less than what we were capable of. But that's what Nintendo did, because, "it's close enough."

Here's to betting it'll be released on the 360 and PS3, then the Wii U will get an updated released with bonus features, much like what happened with RE4 on the PS2.
