Really? I thought it was still selling so so but above the average. Have to check again my numbers.
Regarding the Wii U... Meh... I really want to like it, but I don't even find the niche on it, I mean the typical Nintendo first party niche, where is my Metroid and my (non-remake) Zelda?
Dreamcast is a different story.
Dreamcast will forever be praised for the potential it once had and that the Dream will never die, but as for Wii U.. It has a
couple of good games (quality over quantity) so it's hard to even compare it to Dreamcast. Even moreso when several games are unfortunately undermined due to the amiibos as certain content is locked to them and the only way to acquire is through the darn toys.
There are some Wii U collectors who buy Wii U games from all regions regardless if they're good or bad so what they're doing is for collection purposes than actually playing the games. This collector below is a good example of it.
I doubt my personal Wii U collection will ever hit 40 games because there's not a whole lot that I'd find worth buying because the ones I want I already own and well, seems like 2016 might be the last year of Wii U.
