A recent ESRB rating finding might have potentially leaked an upcoming re-release of several Resident Evil titles for current generation systems.

Four new ratings were included into the ESRB, which mention specifically the Xbox Series console. The Resident Evil titles that were mentioned in the ratings are Resident Evil: Origins Collection, which includes both the Resident Evil 1 Remake as well as Resident Evil 0 (both in their HD Remasters versions), the original Resident Evil 4 (this one could very well be the HD version of RE4), Resident Evil 6 and Resident Evil 7.

It's important to note that, while many of the already listed titles are available in modern consoles, some like the Origins Collection were only available for consoles from the last generation, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch previously, and while these new ratings only mention Xbox Series (and Switch), it could very well be possible that the PS5 could also be included for these re-releases.

CV HD is still the one and only game that hasn't been re-released in any capacity ever since its original port.
We need any kind of modern port of Code Veronica, having the HD port available for PC and modern consoles would be absolutely great.
Also, the original trilogy is still missing from modern day consoles too (outside of PSN).

Reminder that the HD remaster of Resident Evil 1 is "fake full screen", in other words, they zoomed the camera in more. Also, they butchered a few songs in the game. I can forgive them for the fake full screen(they lost the source code), but they can't even be bothered to fix the song, which would take less than an hour.

Man, so much attention for RE. It's genius that they're not remaking the original RE (again) because they can reboot the entire series when the remake train has run its course. I never did finish RE0, so I'd be interested in a remake of that game.

Not really, you can still purchase the HD Remaster of Remake and put an HD backgrounds mod, you'll get pretty much the best version for it.
There's also a few other QoL mods for Remake on Nexus that you can check out, I wouldn't call the GC, much less the Wii port the definitive versions.
Besides, the Remake Remaster has the option to still show the original 4:3 aspect ratio from the GC, or the 16:9 which is the "fake fullscreen", but I'd much rather have fake fullscreen 16:9 than the cropped 4:3. The classic trilogy would benefit a lot from having this fake fullscreen effect for proper 16:9.
