Hacking Resetting the Wii while playing via DML

How do you do it? When I press reset it just resets the GC game. Obviously BT doesn't work so the WiiMote doesn't work. Pressing Power did nothing either. I had to hold it down until the Wii shut off.

Maybe I'm just being stupid.

In gamecube mode, the wii acts like a real gamecube.

Reset button is reseting the game.
There's no power command button, it's a physical button on the Gamecube, so there's no internal listener in the game to detect the power command.
The Wii is not using a physical power button, so it's sending a command which no function intercepts.
Edit: I guess I was wrong, it should turn the wii off correctly.

Maybe you can try holding the power button on the wiimote to switch off the console, but I don't remember if it works.

Perhaps it would work like the Wii would when you are playing a retail GC game. Eject the disc and then hit reset. So if I eject the Wii game I have in the drive, and hit reset it will reboot the Wii. Guess I will try it out.

The power button is meant to turn the wii off in gamecube mode. If it doesn't do that when using DML, it's a bug.

I'm running the latest build, r44, and it powers down my wii when I press the power button. I would recommend an update.

Depends totally on the game you are playing.
