I think it's technically feasible but not enough interest.
There's a hombrew wishlist thread, maybe you can get in line there. It doesn't seem like a lot of wishers are being served though. Emulators come first and there isn't even many of those yet.

It's seems reasonable to me. But as you said, I don't see many people jumping on it. I would have thought, at the very least, we would have a decent media player by now.

Can someone make a porn homebrew? That would literally be tits.

That being said, I'm fine tuning a mechanism of networked mic communication. I'll post a proof of concept demo next week hopefully. It is meant more for multiplayer games, but you can obviously make a dedicated app for it.

that would be cool to see. have you gotten any voice between devices to work yet, or is it still pre-alpha?

If you really want it, why not look into creating it yourself? That's generally what drives homebrew, that and learning to code for consoles or various devices in general. The only way I can really see to justify asking someone to code homebrew for you is if they're asking for suggestions or you're willing to pay them. Not trying to come off as snarky or anything like that, just that you could probably do it with some time and effort.

thats a fair statement. i experimented with data packets over lan some time ago when trying to help design a game client. im a bit over my head when it comes to creating communication between devices. i dont really have the time to invest in learning this sort of thing either. if no one has the interest, thats fine. I was just throwing that out there in case someone thought it would be a good idea.
